Brief Description:  Mounted oil cooler, repositioned muffler.

This morning Mark S. and I flew the 182 down to Sky Acres for training and breakfast. Got into the shop for a couple hours this PM.

Made final adjustments and mounted the oil cooler into the cooling duct.

Opened the cooler door and removed the wax paper. It was easy, much better than yesterday. Installed the lower cowl and checked exhaust pipe fit. It was against the fiberglass so I loosened up the exhaust nuts and tried moving the muffler to center the tailpipe on the opening in the lower cowl. This moved the cylinder 3 exhaust pipe against the coolant hose. I strapped the coolant hose to the engine mount to pull it away.Photo 1. Then moved the muffler left to center the tailpipe in the opening. See photo 2, black line is center of muffler. In this position the #3 exhaust pipe just clears the hose. See photo 3. Don't know what kind of clearance there should be here. Need advice. Also don't know if I move muffler left if it will interfere with the cooling duct when that is installed. Alternative is to enlarge opening in the lower cowl.
