Brief Description: Installed sticks & pedals, finished most wiring.
Started the day by installing the control sticks to hook up the PTT wires. Ran into a snag right away when the bolts wouldn't go through the bushings. Ended up reaming out the bushings to 1/4 inch. Good thing there was a reamer in the Avery kit. Next problem was the spread on the right side was too narrow to accept the fitting on the stick. I had to invent a way to spread the fitting slightly - I used two bolts and nuts to force the sides apart. Then did a lot more wiring. Dick Newell stopped by on his way down from the mountains.
In the afternoon I continued wiring, and installed the previously assembled rudder pedal assembly and the wireway over the pedals. Wiring is about all done now, except for the parts that have to wait for the tail to be attached.
Watched the balloon on the gas tank all day. In the morning I was worried, because the balloon was smaller than yesterday. But - when the shop warmed up it was back to its original size. Just like 8th grade science!
