Sanded down both foam blocks to contour of fuselage. Right side still has a depression where the filler sagged. Filled the depression with more microballoon filler. The instructions say to cut a 1/8" "shelf" along the top of the foam blocks and fill it with epoxy and flox. I don't see why this is necessary, but I followed the instructions. I already had a batch of epoxy with micro balloons mixed so I used that for the filler. Next session I will sand all this out.
Put out a message on VAF and got some advice on how to make the overhang for the skirt. That comes next.
Looked at the engine mount, and drilled the first 3/8" hole. I seem to be missing the cotter pins. I also don't understand how much to torque the AN6 bolts with the castellated nuts. Will email Van's.
