Flew two lessons with Kurt this morning. Weather was finally decent, and Kurt did well.
Reworked the canopy guide blocks and managed to salvage them so I won't have to order new blocks. Investigated why the canopy latch works hard. Seems as if the weld on the bottom of the rear of the aft canopy bow is high. The weld strikes the top of the roll bar and prevents the canopy frame from coming all the way down, and this in turn makes the latch handle bind as it climbs the ramp on the latch block. Looks like I will have to grind that weld down flush, and that should solve the problem. Hopefully tomorrow.
