Brief Description:  Started canopy fitting process.

Back in the shop! Took me a couple hours just to get my mind around the project again. Read and re-read the pages surrounding the canopy install. Taking this section very causiously. The canopy frame isn't quite right, so I tried to spread it at the rear and adjust the forward bow, both with very limited effect. Set the canopy on the frame and spent a lot of time just looking at it from different angles and figuring out where to trim to get the best fit. Decided the best course of action was to elongate the latch hole 1/8" forward, and take 1/8" off the aft edge at the top, tapering down to nothing removed at the aft bottom.

Pulled the canopy back off the frame and taped and marked the tape for the cut. Used the die grinder with a red ScotchBrite disk to remove the bulk of the material, then smoothed with 150 and 220 grit sandpaper on a block.

Reinstalled the canopy on the frame and checked the fit again. Better but not perfect. The forward edge will probably have to be trimmed to meet the 1/8" gap, but that should be pretty easy. The sides look pretty close. The rear edge is good most of the way from the top down, but there is a 1/8" gap near the bottom. Supposed to be 1/32" all the way around. Not sure if this is a problem or not.
