Brief Description:  Temporarily installed aft window.

Riveted the attach angles and the latch handle stop to the canopy frame. Set up for painting and applied interior paint to the frame and the sides of the fuel tank that will show.

Been worrying about working with the plexiglass canopy. Last night I had a thought - go back and install the aft window to get a feel for the plexi before diving into the canopy work.

After lunch I got the turtle deck skins out and deburred them. Clecoed them in place and got out the aft window plexiglass. Boy, you really have to bend it a lot! The only way I could get it installed was to start on one side and work to the other one cleco at a time. Even then I had to uncleco the turtle deck skin and bring the skin and plexi down as one. See photo two. Got a very good tight fit, then match drilled the roll bar. Removed the window and cranked up the stove to get the room good and hot. Drilled and tapped 6-32 the holes in the roll bar for the eventual S/S mounting screws. Then used the plexi drill bit to finall drill all the mounting holes in the plexiglass. All went well with none of the anticipated trauma. Stored the plexi back on the rack for later final installation. Left the turtle deck skins clecoed in place.

Moved the canopy bubble into the workshop from storage in the garage where it will get warmed before beginning installation work next session.
