Brief Description:  Loose ends, airframe upright, started canopy.

Another cold morning. Fired up the wood stove and picked up around the plane. Installed the cotter keys in the stabilator cable bolts. Carolyn helped me reposition the tables and roll the airframe back upright. Took my magnet and went fishing for lost parts. Found everything I had dropped - good thing I had kept track of it all. I got in the habit of labeling a piece of tape and sticking it close to where the missing part had made its escape.

Adam Bogdan arrived and he got a thorough tour of the airplane factory. Then we drove to the airport and took the Arrow to Vermont for $100 hamburgers. Well seafood actually. Adam flew left seat on the return and did his usual great job. He'll be on his way back to Embry-Riddle in a couple of weeks, so it was great to spend some time with him.

Came back to the shop for a while and installed the sixth bolt in the rudder cable tubes. Kinda hard with the fuselage upright. Got the canopy frame out of the garage and test bolted it to the hinge points. I guess I miscalculated the height requirement, because it hits the ceiling. I'll have to lower the position of the airframe. Started putting together the gas strut assembly.

Boy, the welds and edges of the canopy frame are really rough. This is gonna take some prep work.
