Lowered two of the workbenches by a foot. Got CJ up to the shop to help move the fuselage from the tall bench to the short bench. Cleaned the floor in the open end of the shop. Rearranged the garage and put the empennage on the second short bench. Moved it into the shop and matched it up with the fuselage. CJ helped me line it up and get the first few clecoes in the bottom. Raised the tail and the parts went together as advertised. Clecoed the parts and the shoulder belt mounts.
Tomorrow I'll finish picking up the shop, double check everything, and proceed with riveting. I'll leave the rear window and turtle deck skins off for now. I'll get some help rolling the airframe back up on its side so I can reach in and run the static tube and trim servo wire forward, and run the remote compass wire into the empennage. Then I'll be able to secure averything in the tunnel and proceed on to the canopy.
