Brief Description:  Mounted side skins and roll bar.

Started the day by reinstalling the longerons and canopy decks and clecoing them into place. Called Carolyn up from the house to help me reorient the workbenches in order to get two of them under the assembly, and then hang the two side skins. Then clecoed the skins to the frame - every other hole. Used ALL my clecos for only the second time. Assembled the air vents and clecoed them in place. Dimpled and installed all the nutplates around the triangular openings on both sides.

Took time out for a walk and lunch, then started inserting and pulling rivets in the left side. Would have been easier if all the rivets went right in, but a lot of them had to be persuaded to line up with the ice pick. Nearly got blisters using the manual cleco tool inserting clecos, so got out the air driven cleco gun for pulling them out. Eventually finished all the rivets on the left side. Took a break from that work and moved ahead to install the cowl hinges that I had previously prepared - I thought. Found I had oriented the hinge half for the right side improperly so had to make and drill a new one. While storing the unused hinge material I found the correctly oriented half from before. Grrrr. I hope I don't run out of hinge stock later because of this little screw up.

Then mounted the previously completed roll bar and supports. Left side bracket holes lined up easily for clecos, but right side is just a touch off so had a hard time getting clecos in. Will try to line them up better and get more clecos in before match drilling the side holes. Then have to disassemble parts for deburring, painting, and final assembly.
