Brief Description:  Rudder pedal powder coat problems.

Got up this morning and took the rudder pedal blocks that I split last night up to the shop to see how they fit to the WD-1206 Rudder Pedals. First, I found out that Van's sent the wrong nuts to fasten the blocks together temporarily during assembly. No big deal, I scrounged some proper sized nuts out of my junk box. Did send an email to Van's just to let them know. Then I placed the parts together as instructed in Step 2 on Page 27-02. Lo and behold, the areas without the powder coating don't line up with each other. I remembered seeing something about this on the forum, so I did a search. Sure enough, several other people have noticed this problem, and there are several opinions on what to do about it. Everything from sanding off the powder coating to sending the parts back. I will call Van's first thing in the AM to see what they recommend.

After church CJ and I went to WalMart and bought a couple of cans of spray paint to try out for the interior.
