Stopped at Aircraft Components & Equipment (ACE) Hardware on the way home and picked up some pipe thread sealant suitable for use with oil and fuel, and some 3/8 copper tubing to practice with. Prepped the fuel pump and installed it on the bracket in the tunnel under the baggage compartment. Pretty tricky getting a torque wrench in there to secure the AN4 bolts, but managed it. Prepped and primed the fuel valve handle and brackets. Read the instructions for the flare tool and practiced on the copper tubing. Fairly easy to use. Not so for the tube bending tool. Fooled around with it for a long time and still haven't figured out how to put the curve in the pipe where I want it. May have to get some more copper to practice with before I go for the real stuff.
