Brief Description:  Squeezed rivets, began baggage floor assembly.

Decided to go ahead and squeeze the -8 and -9 rivets with the flat dies. It does flatten the round heads, but seems not to affect strength or violate specs, as learned from VAF rresponses. And, that is the way the instructions tell you to do it. They turned out OK. Installed and riveted the six support ribs to the assembly.

Later got an email from Bob Avery at Avery Tools, saying that they have had a large demand for the short cupped die, and have added it to the RV-12 toolkit, per my suggestion. Bob is sending me one - no charge. Nice. When I get the new die I will put one more sqeeze on the top row of rivets, the ones I can reach. Too late to do anything with the bottom row, the ones that attach the baggage floors, as they can't be reached once the ribs have been attached.

Next work session should see the completion of this page. Boy was it a busy one, with 14 steps.
