Brief Description:  Building up Center Section Assembly.

Got confirmation from several VAF members that the assembly is mounted correctly and is supposed to "lean." Yesterday on a trip to Harbor Freight I bought a drill guide gizmo that I hoped to use to make sure my holes were drilled perpendicular, but it turned out to be too big and awkward to use, so I just drilled out a block of hardwood on the drill press and used it as a guide. Drilled all the 71 holes into the F-1204 without issues. Countersunk and dimpled as required. Was able to squeeze the flat head 426AD4-8 rivets and got a good result. However, when I tried to use the Avery squeezer on the round head AN470AD4-8 & 9 rivets I found that with the proper die set installed the squeezer cannot be adjusted so that the rivets are squeezed in the part of the stroke where there is a good mechanucal advantage. The handles are way too wide apart - it would take Hulk Hogan to squeeze them like that. Or maybe not, I think he is getting a little flabby in his old age too.

I wonder if it is permissable to squeeze the round head rivets with the two flat head dies. Might flatten the factory heads too much. I will put out a question on VAF forum. Worse comes to worse, I know where I can borrow a pnematic squeezer.
