Brief Description: Worked the VS and rudder tip fairings.
Clamped the belt sander with coarse paper upside down in the bench vise. Used that setup to remove unwanted material from the tip fairings. The rudder tip fairing was not perfect out of the mold. The recessed portion was at different heights on the left and right sides. I was able to use a flat file to re-groove it and make it a good fit. Spent considerable time fine tuning the fit of both fairings, then drilled and clecoed them. They're ready to finish sand and rivet. Removed the rudder and flat filed the left trailing edge of the VS where it was rubbing with full left rudder deflection. Drew a consistent line down the edge with a red marker, then filed about half of it off. See photo. Chamfered and smoothed. Ready to re-mount rudder and check fit.
