Brief Description:  Re-assembled HS Spar Assembly

Only got in the shop for a couple of hours today. Life keeps getting in the way of my hobby. Something obviously wrong with my priorities! Finished deburring the forward HS ribs. Reassembled spar assembly and riveted all but the CS4-4 rivets I am waiting for from Van's. Primed ribs and while waiting for them to dry I skipped ahead to installation of the hinge brackets. That went well and the spacers that I made yesterday fit perfectly. Torqued attach bolts to 35 in/lbs. This is 25 from the specs plus the 10 I was able to measure as the drag from the nutplates. Looked ahead at the next few steps and it appears that I can proceed right up to the point of installing the skins while awaiting the rivets from Van's. So tomorrow, after I do some more roof shoveling, I'll prepare the aft ribs, work on the AST hinge, and prep the skins if I have enough time.

I have developed my own method for deburring ribs. I use the big wheel for everything that I can - all the edges that can be reached etc. I use a very small round stone on my Dremel to get into the little grooves that are on some of the ribs. I use the Avery deburring tool to get the shear burr off the lightening holes, then finish with a small sandpaper drum on the Dremel. The rivet holes are done with the Avery hole deburring tool.
