Brief Description:  Finished rudder, worked VS

Ran snowblower until about 11AM. Snow with tough crust on top from yesterday's freezing rain. Then it snowed (lake effect) all afternoon.

Riveted the skin on the rudder. Had a lot of trouble with the air driven puller with jamming every 8 or 10 rivets. Called the 800 number and got instructions for making internal adjustments. After that the jamming stopped, but the spent studs were not being ejected as they should have been. Talked to Marty Santic and he suggested switching to the next larger nose piece. Puller worked good after that. Rudder is done! Received the "wedge" material from Van's and fabricated the wedge tools. Used to rivet all the VS spar holes that are up close to the flange. Worked great. Spent the remainder of the afternoon very carefully fitting the VS skin to the skeleton. Very exacting work but with slow and methodical working from leading edge to trailling edge made everything fit. Clecoed all holes, ready to rivet.
