Brief Description:  Removed U-1202 brackets

Built two 25" padded stands on Sunday. Today I installed the stands to get the airplane weight off of the gear, as specified in the SB. Ed D. and Bll M. helped lift the tail. Drilled the four 3/8" holes in the belly, as specified by the SB, to alllow access to the heads of the bolts. Loosened the four outboard gear leg bolts and got them out.

Removed the U-1202 steel brackets, with difficulty. Very hard to work them around the protruding rivets. Was able to slide the wear plates toward the center of the airplane to get "wiggle room", but still had to disconnect the brake lines to get them out. Now I will have to bleed the brakes when I am through.

Took the brackets to the FBO shop, began grinding down the corners. Alternated between brackets to allow cool down time.
