Brief Description:  Corrected yaw and roll trim, added weather strip.

In the morning I cleaned up my workbench at the FBO, received visitors, and helped Bill and the boys move some 195 wings. Carolyn and Jeanne (Bill's better half) stopped by for a sumptuous lunch in the elegant FBO dining room.

I fabricated a temporary rudder trim tab out of a piece of scrap aluminum. Took it down to the T hangar and duct taped it to the rudder, left side, so as to apply right rudder. Test flew, ball is centered, while holding left aileron to counteract heavy right wing.

Landed, gently squeezed the entire trailing edge of the left (light) flaperon with Bill's seaming pliers to which I had attached some of the 3/4" weather strip foam. Flew another test flight - guess what - left wing now slightly heavy. Ken was right - do this a little at a time! No matter, the right flaperon was still somewhat bowed out with a fat trailing edge.

Landed, VERY gently squeezed the right flaperon trailing edge. Flew again. This time roll and yaw both in almost perfect trim. I'll go with that for now, check again after wheel pants are installed. I'll order the Avery Tools rudder wedge to replace the temporary trim tab.

Added 1/8" by 1/8" foam strip across the front of the canopy. Cockpit is quite toasty now!

Was having so much fun with all these test flights I went back out and did short and soft field work, slips to landings, and go-arounds. This is a fun little airplane to fly, but you really have to slow it down to get it to land short. About 50 on final works.

Added 6 gallons of 100LL and put her away. Lousy weather coming in tonight.
