Brief Description:  Sanded wheel pants - again.

Did desk work inside this morning. Bill called from the FBO to report that the avionics tech was on-site and to ask if I wanted the transponder checks done. Oops! I hadn’t even thought about that, thinking I have a brand new transponder, why would I need it checked? Well, the answer to that is, because the FAR’s say so. I gave him the go-ahead and later another call came in confirming a successful test. This also means the Dynon is talking to the transponder to pass pressure altitude to the Mode C.

When it stopped snowing this afternoon we went outside and cleaned up the white stuff. I started a fire and warmed up the shop. At the bench I modified the power cord and vacuum tubes so I can use the Carb-Mate inside the cockpit for the carb sync task.

Then I hooked up the orbital sander and used 100 grit paper to sand the wheel pants. Took off most of the epoxy I squeegeed on last week and some of the primer that Rob had put on. I think (fingers crossed) the pinholes are mostly gone
