Brief Description:  Ramp iced, no engine run, other small tasks.

Tim came all the way over from Saratoga to assist with the first engine run, but alas, the ramp area had been covered with a thin covering of ice from the overnight unpredicted ice fog. So moving airplanes and running the engine was deemed too dangerous and alternate plans had to be made for the day.

Tim and I went to the Aircraft Components & Equipment store - in other words ACE hardware - and picked up eyebolts to use for the tie downs. Actually took two trips due to buying the wrong ones on the first trip. I installed the one in the tail so we can tie it down for the engine run.

I reapplied RTV to the frame around the radiator - we had noticed it loose yesterday. I adjusted the air pressure in all the tires. I polished the brake line tubing at the gear legs and secured with cable ties per plans.

Tom got out the "special" cloth and used his secret liquid to clean the spot on the canopy that I had though was a streak of epoxy. PHEW!

Blew off the canopy and interior with the air hose and renoved the protective plastic from the avionics scrreens.

Picked up the tools and put everything on the cart so it is ready to move when we can open the doors and use the ramp area. Supposed to be above freezing Friday and Saturday so we're hoping for a dry ramp.

In the afternoon Tom showed the RV-12 logo to his brother and I'm hoping he can do the logos and N numbers for me.
