Brief Description:  Completed tail feather installation.

Searched high and low at home and airport for the stabilator turnbuckle clips. Went to the airport and took in a box of coffee for the gang. Found the clips in stuff I had taken to the airport.

Backed the stabilator turnbuckles all the way off and restarted evenly. Tightened to 40 pounds of tension, with about 3 threads showing. Seemed perfect so I inserted the clips - quite a feat in itself! Later in the day I discovered that the stab was hitting the nose down stops on the stab itself and on the stick at just about the same moment. Probably OK, but I'm not happy with it so I'll have to order more clips and move each turnbuckle about a one-thread turn.

Finished installing the trim asseembly.

Riveted the data plate to the aft empennage.

Installed the avionics bay cover with all the screws. Snugged up the screws but tried not to overdo it on the fresh paint.

Got Bill to help me install the rudder after gluing on the spacer washers. Hooked up the cables and checked operation.

Installed the air filters that had been removed for the engine mount bolt retorquing.

The left tire had gone flat (again.) Reinflated with new air chuck/gauge. Removed the valve stem extensions to see if they were causing the problem.

Dominick came over at 3 PM to review missed test questions.

Helped Bill move another 195 into the hangar.
