Brief Description:  Completed retorquing engine capscrews.

Went to the workshop early, repaired the cover with epoxy and fiberglass patch, forced the cure with heat, and installed knob to ease future removal if necessary. Sanded the last of the pinhole patches in the wheel pants. Measured and marked proposed location for the valve stem access hole. Helped Alby re-install the front shield on his trailer.

Stopped at Lou Castiglione's jewelery shop to pick up the engraved data plate. Came out very nice.

Went to the airport and installed the cover with RTV. It seems secure. Reassembled the left carb and associated parts. Torqued intake manifold bolts to 90 in/lbs per instructions. Renewed Torque-seal. Added a bit more of the Torque-seal to the 6 o'clock position on the upper left capscrew, so I will be able to see it easily for future checks. Next removed the lower right screw. It came out quite hard and the mount and engine were slightly out of alignment when I peered into the hole with a flashlight. After I gobbed it up with Loctite, Bill helped me align the holes with a little pry bar pressure in just the right spot. Reinstalled, torqued, sealed.

Removed the right intake manifold bolts and moved the carburetor assembly enough to get a straight shot at the upper right capscrew. Removed and reinstalled upper right capscrew, also slightly out of alignment.

Clecoed the left wheel pant into place and checked alignment of the proposed location of the access hole. Perfect! Made and recorded measurments for nose wheel hole.
