Brief Description: Cut pipe, played with muffler position.
David and I removed the muffler and cut off the excess pipe with his power hacksaw (horizontal band saw.) We then played around with muffler positioning. Used plumb-bob to determine exact centering of muffler, then snugged up the bolts. Re-installed lower cowl and temporarily positioned cooling shroud inside. Then checked clearances and muffler pipe position. With muffler centered pipe is against outside edge of opening. Moving it to the left may cause interference with pipe/springs on left side. Final fitting postponed until after cooling shroud is completed.
