Brief Description:  Installed cowl hinges.

Made the cut across the top of the top cowl. Took about 1/4" off the left side, tapered to nothing at the right side. Sanded with the long sanding block and adjusted to fit. Taped into place and drilled all the rivet holes, clecoing as I went. Removed top and bottom cowls, deburred hinges, clecoed and riveted all hinges. Only had to re-set two or three rivets. Now I know why they sent me so many AD3-4 rivets!

When taping up the cowl before drilling, I debated with myself whether to set it up a little high in the front, figuring it would settle, or just position it where I wanted it. I was afraid to set it high because I thought it might end up high. Well, I was wrong, it did settle a little so the cowl is slightly lower than the spinner. Such is life. I guess I will be the only one to notice it. Left/right wise it is centered.

Upon final assemble I couldn't get one of the pins in, and found that I had inadvertently squeezed one of the openings on the hinge while setting the rivets. Had to correct that.

Next comes the drilling and nutplate installations (8) for the screws holding the front of the cowl together.
