Brief Description:  Hung the engine!

Last night I researched the rivet question and then remembered that I had done this before, and found that the back of the nose gear mounting plate has recesses for the rivets. No problem.

This morning I flew for the Memorial Day parade and while at the airport got Bill to squeeze the bushing into the last of the engine mounts with his big press.

This afternoon CJ and I did the temporary bolting and 3/8" drilling for the long engine mount bolts. Then picked up the engine and it slid easily onto the mounting bolts. Had to grind divots in two of the big washers to fit around the engine mount framework.

Torqued 3 of 4 bolts using Bill's big torque wrench. The 4th one required reverting to the box end wrench and fishscale method - 5.5" arm and 28 lb pull equals about 160 inch pounds.

I will let the bolts sit for a day or so and double check the torque before installing the cotter pins.

Larry and Peggy, and Jim and Kelly stopped by for a tour and to "help."
