Rotated the crank and checked the ignition coil pickups. Four of them are a tight .012, and that meets llower end spec. But fifth one measures only a .010. The reference to the Rotax manuals in the instruction book seems to be incorrect, possibly pointing to an old version. Could not find instructions for adjusting gap. Will have to call Van's.
Removed more stuff from the engine to expose the topside. Spent a couple hours installing, marking, removing, trimming (repeat 6 times) the cooling shroud. Finally got it fitted correctly to the marks. Marked the block as instructed for the RTV.
Removed aft packing screws and pivoted engine up in the rear. Disconnected the water pipes and jockeyed the engine mount into position. Installed the four M10 engine mount bolts and lockwashers. Couldn't torque them - don't have a big enough torque wrench. Will have to borrow.
