Brief Description:  Epoxy coated fiberglass, began engine teardown.

Unloaded Kurt's engine hoist from pickup using the block and tackle. Boy is that a big'un!

Recoated fiberglass parts. Marked the spinner as instructed and lightly sanded, and added to the pinhole removal process. Used the new squeegees and foam brushes. I think I got a much better job. Mixed a small batch of epoxy filler and used it to fill a few more slightly low spots on the canopy.

Fiberglass parts epoxy coating scorecard now:
Wingtip Extensions; 3 coats, sanded, installed.
Tailcone halves: 3 coats.
Cowl halves: 2 coats.
Spinner: 1 coat.

In the evening started the engine work. Found out right away I need an adapter from the 1/4" drive on the torque wrench to a 3/8" drive for the Metric Allen sockets. Put it on the hardware store list. Tried to check the coil pickup clearances - they seem tight. Will check the engine manual before attempting to change the gaps. Removed the ignition modules and intake manifolds as instructed, and laid them back over the front of the engine. Boy, this is getting scary!
