Brief Description: Continued work on landing light.
Cleaned the shop, which was looking like a disaster area. Made and installed the ground wire for the landing light. Cut the four long wires for the landing and nav lights, and installed the ring terminals. Tried to install the molex pins but apparently you are supposed to have a special crimper for them, and I don't have one so I soldered the pins on and reinforced them with shrink wrap.
Pulled the wires through the wing and installed them to the terminal bracket. Installed the Molex connector on the landing light. Installed the modified landing light brackets and the landing light itself. Tested the light with 12 volts and it works in both pulse and steady mode.
Installed the landing light lens and 7 of 8 retaining screws went in OK, but the one where I had to "fudge" the lens backing strips and the nutplate will not engage. I guess I will have to remove the lens once again and make a new backing strip that better matches the actual holes in the wing skin and the lens itself.
Somehow through all this I lost one of the screws. Hopefully Carolyn can help me find it.
