Brief Description:  Finished gas pipe, worked glass, started light kit

Started to install the filler pipe, but wasn't happy with the fit. Enlarged the holes in the flange to allow some shifting. Adjusted the angle on the flange bend. Added washers to cover the bigger holes in the flange. Used marine clear silicone to form the gasket between the flange and the skin. Didn't think it necessary to mix a batch of fuel tank sealant for this task, since there is no exposure here to fuel. Lightly coated the skin with grease to prevent a permanent bond.

Riveted the turtle deck skins in place. Hope I don't regret it later when it is time to install the rear window!

Carolyn helped me reorganize the garage and workshop to get the fuselage out into one stall of the garage, and the cowling pieces and the right wing into the shop.

Mixed a batch of epoxy and micro-balloons and coated the canopy fairing, per Dan Horton's advice. This will provide a surface to contour for final fit.

Started working on the lighting kit. Used the paper templates to mark the landing light and wingtip light openings.
