Brief Description:  Finished prepping fiberglass pieces.

A rare luxury, a day in the shop! Finished the cowl halves and the tail cone pieces up to all the scribe lines. Steps:

1. Rough cut with Dremel reinforced cutoff wheel.
2. Get close to lines with orbital sander w/60 grit and Dremel sanding drum.
3. Sand up to lines with 80 grit on sanding blocks.
4. Finish sand with 120/150 grit sandpaper.

I made a scribing tool out of a carpenters square and one of the new ultra-fine Sharpies Carolyn got me. I scribed a line all the way around the prop opening and cut the lower cowl back to a uniform depth. Now I have a way to do the same to the upper cowl later if it makes sense to do that.

Left the shop a dusty mess. Tomorrow I'll clean the place up and start making hinges and hinge pins.
