Brief Description:  Finished gear/brake install, worked on canopy.

Re-routed the brake lines inside the fuselage to avoid moving parts and tied them down with cable ties.

Installed the cover plates where the gear legs come out.

Sanded, filled and sanded again the canopy fiberglass. Finished the pivot bolt holes. Superglued the washer behind the mounting bolt on the right side.

Re-installed the cover over the avionics bay. Got Carolyn to help me put the canopy on and off to check fit. Made a few adjustments and sandpapered the inside of the overhangs to smooth them out.

I don't understand why they didn't design the fiberglass to extend forward another 1/2 inch to cover the slot that is open forward of the bolt holes. It would have been much more attractive and I don't see any reason it would not have worked by sliding over the metal. Wish I had it to do over again - that's what I would have done, since it could always be sanded back if it didn't work.
