Brief Description:  Summer recess, some progress

Over the summer I only had time for a few short random work sessions. The skins for the new left elevator are cut and fitted, not yet riveted. The left elevator has been disassembled. At Oshkosh we saw a beautifully restored 140, and at Simsbury I saw a lovely 120, both with fabric wings. Jean and I made the decision to remove the metal skins and restore the airplane to its original fabric wing configuration. A fabric covering workshop is in my future!

The contact information for the owner of the 120 at SImsbury is: John L. Roske, 1301 Conway Road, Ashfield, MA 01331. 413-628-0292. He told me he has some extra fuselage parts.

I also bought a new set of tool drawers, and set them up on my workbench. It will be nice to have more room.
