Brief Description:  Catch up of several short sessions.

Not much time at airport since last entry. This entry summarizes dribs and drabs of several short sessions.

Removed inboard rib that was cracked, fabricated a new one from T0 stock, Tom heated and quenched for me.

Removed old patch from inboard hinge area and observed cracks underneath. Drilled out rivets and removed weldment. Discussed possibility of a full length repair with Bill.

Put out message on 120/140 forum and got answer that there was an AD on this, # 47-43-05. Got the AD and the SB behind it. There is an approved Cessna repair with parts available for inboard and outboard hinge areas. But only if cracks are less than 1/2 inch. If cracks are more than 1/2 inch spar should be replaced, according to the AD. Univair has spars for $700, plus you would need the two stiffeners at $75 each. Looking for alternatives.
