Brief Description: Practiced rivet removal, began rudder disassembly.
Took the rudder and the vertical stabilizer down to Bill's shop. Bill mentored me in the fine art of rivet removal and I practiced on the rudder skins. Bill loaned me a high speed air drill, which works much better than the cordless drill I had been using. He then showed me how ro break the spot welds loose.
Together we inspected the surface corrosion on the vertical stabilizer, and determined it can be cleaned up, and the part can be used without replacing the skins.
