Brief Description:  Stripped aluminum from right wing.

The right wiing is no longer "metalized". Used the metalization drawing and the 120 parts manual drawings to determine what was original and what had been added. Used my new rivet removal tool to drill out all the remaining rivets. Removed skins and began cleanup of rivet remains and shims. Found original aluminum next to the trailing edge at the tip to be still there under the STC skin. See Image 1. That's good. Left the inboard trailing edge piece in place. See Image 2. This appears to have replaced the original narrow trailing edge strip. Will have to make decision on replacing, modifying, or using wider strip as is.

Left original aluminum tank bay bottom in place for now. Metal is pretty ugly and has a crack near drain hole. May decide to make a new piece. Deferred decision.

Found no serious corrosion or damage. Structure will need cleaning up and some priming where old primer is not good. Examination raises many questions about how the fabric is attached, especially to existing aluminum parts. Hope to learn all about that at the class at OSH.
