Brief Description: Serviced magnetos.

The end of 2014 and beginning of 2015 began a period of very low activity on the 120 project. Over the winter I was able to service both magnetos and get them ready to use. Logbook entries copied below for the record.
4/1/2015, Tach 2176: Disassembled, cleaned and inspected left mag S/N 583889. Installed Tempest AB-473-R repair kit including new Contact Assy, Capacitor, Bearings, Oil Seal, Oil Slinger, Carbon Brush, and associated small parts. Lubricated and reassembled IAW Continental Ignition System Service Support Manual. See log entries 7/13/81 and 5/18/94 for AD’s and SB’s previously C/W. Confirmed previous C/W AD 74-26-09 & SB 556C, and AD 94-01-03 R2 & MSB-644. C/W AD 82-20-01 & SB 623A. AD 94-06-09, N/A by capacitor type, and date of mfg. Regardless, capacitor was replaced with new this date. AD 2005-12-06 & MSB645, N/A by engine model.

See log entry of 5/18/94 for AD’s and SB’s previously C/W. Confirmed compliance with previous AD’s and SB’s by inspection. AD 94-06-09, N/A by capacitor type, and date of mfg. AD 2005-12-06 & MSB645, N/A by engine model.
