Brief Description: Light for console switches/ TR cable clamps
Now that the power is connected in the helicopter and I can see how well the instruments are lighting up, what I clearly noticed was that there was nothing to illuminate the switches on the lower console.
I looked high and low to find a 12 volt lighting source I could use to light up the lower console. I ordered a few things that just didn’t work for what I wanted, and even looked at West Marine to see if they had something appropriate, but with no luck.
At the end of the day, I used a flush mounted recessed LED light that I mounted below the right collective. It not only lights up the switches, but also the mag switch and key, and the mixture lever as well.
I also received the correct size adel clamps in the mail and I secured the tail rotor cable and wiring from the cabin to the tail rotor. I still need to add a few in the cabin itself, but the exterior is complete and solid.
