Back to the project! Spent a little more than an hour in the shop. Pulled out the rib jib and started screwing down 1/4" plexi blocks to the rib jig. I copied idea from a how-to article in Sport Aviation, June 1999. After making a full size copy of the original rib pattern, attach the copy to a piece of 3/4" plywood with spray adhesive and cover it with 1/8" Acrylic Safety Glazing (a.k.a. plexiglas). I found a broken piece at the local lumber yard and they made me a deal on it.Then cut out 1" x 2" blocks of 1/4" plexiglas and drill a couple of holes in them. The 1/4" thick blocks are then positioned on the jig to hold the rib sticks, holes drilled down through the 1/8" plexi and attached with flat head machine screws. If the block positioning isn't perfect, it's no big deal. Started with 3/16" holes and then opened them up to 1/4" in the for final positioning if needed.
