Brief Description: Z Bracket - countersinking and spar countersink
I clamped each bracket into the vice and then countersunk to the appropriate depth for flush AN426 rivets, each of the rivet holes for the nutplates. Whilst I had the right setting dialled in to the Microstop countersink, I countersunk the appropriate rivet holes on the top of the spar for the nutplates used to attach the inboard most brackets. Once again, the fact that I had ground down the one side of the footplate for the microstop countersink helped as I would not have been able to reach the edge most holes had I not!
I then proceeded to scuff and clean up each bracket with a scotchbrite pad in preperation for painting. Once done, I cleaned all parts with an Industrial Metal brightener, washed them off and dried them - will paint them tomorrow.
