Brief Description:  L-Elev: Trim Servo skin doubler

I really did not like the look of my attempt at mounting the nutplates onto the E615PP skin doubler whilst it was rivetted to the elevator skin. So much so that I ordered a new one from Van's which arrived yesterday.
I drilled the old one out prepped the new one (edge finishing) and match drilled it to the skin. Deburred everything with the Cogsdill and then started countersinking the nutplate attachment holes. I dimpled all remaining holes and then rivetted the nutplates to the skin doubler. Mounting the nutplates now was a complete snap compared to my previous attempts!

I cleaned up the installation and the re-rivetted the assembly to the skin with a wet layup. The finished product look orders of magnitudes better than my previous attempt! Live and learn! ;)
