Brief Description: L-Elev: Cutting and marking of Stiffeners
After cutting the left elevator stiffeners to length, I marked each one clearly to make sure that I don't inadvertantly measure and trim the wrong ones. Basically the J, K, and L stiffeners each need seperate measurements and trimming and are to be made from D, E and F stiffeners respectively.
I initially drew the lines as per the existing notches (same as all the other stiffeners) as the newly measured lines would need to be parallel to these. It all ended up being a lot simpler than I originally thought but rather safe than sorry.
ll the stiffeners for the left elevator have now been measured and marked as per spec and are ready for trimming.
