Brief Description: L-HS & L-Elev Tips: Sanding and re-shaping
I started by sanding down the previous waork back down to shape - a fair amount of sanding again. When I was happy with the finish, I fitted the left elevator to the HS and cleco'ed bith tips into place to check the fit.
To my dismay, the L-HS Tip was drastically undersized and would need a a LOT more worj than I originally amticipated to build it up. I then slamped the L-Elev into position against the HS and proceeded to mix up a failry substntial batch of flox with s smidgeon of micro balloons for a tad more "volume". I cleaned up the tips with some acetone and then applied liberal amount of flox to the L-HS Tip ans shaoed i fairly roughly - making sure it was sufficiantly oversized suxh that I wouldn't have to build up like this again. - left to cure.
L-HS tip sanded down and fit checked against HS
The degree to which the L-HS Tip is apparent
L-Elev tip clamped into position and L-HS tip buit up with flox
