I covered the HS tip lightly with a fine 2-part body filler which fortunately dries VERY quickly and sands fairly easily - left to cure for 20 mins. I then sanded it all to shape again until nice and smooth (180 grit). I then re-shot a thin coat of the rattle can primer which still revealed a few areas which needed a bit of work but very few pinholes.
I then mixed another batch of filler and applied it to the elevator tip. This I left to dry and will have to pick it up again tomorrow.
