Brief Description: R-Elev: Initial rivetting of understructure
I didn't have too much time so I snuck into the shop quick just to keep things ticking over.
All I really did though was to use a wet layup (i.e. paint some primer onto the parts to be joined with a brush and rivet them together whilst still wet) and rivetted the end-rib and the counterbalance ribs (E713 and E714) together as well as the spar re-enforcement plates to the spar itself.
I left the nutplates off though as I still have to spray on the primer and as I don't want to spray over the nutplates, I thought I'd leave 'em 'till later! ;)
E713 and E714 being rivetted together - note the use of the longeron yolk on the pneumatic squeezer
The Spar (E702) and the re-enforcement plates rivetted together. Nutplates will come later.
Aft side of the spar and re-enforcemement plates. Traces of primer visible from the wet layup
