When everything seemed to check out using the old "Eyeball MkI", I took a 1/8" punch and gently passed it through a number the tank-to-spar attachment holes to double check the alignmen. The 1/8" punch passed neatly through the skin's holes and through the nutplates on the inside of the spar flange - close enough to use as an alignment check but no threat to the threads on the nutplates at all. Everything seemed to align perfectly.

Seam between fuel tank and leading edge. Is actually pefectly flush as per tank to main skin seam.
