Brief Description: Closed up the tanks with the top skins
These tanks are constructed from foam, covered with cloth and epoxy resin. The top skins are formed on the bench upside down, and have glass cloth and epoxy resin applied. Once cured they were laid into wet resin, on the top of the ribs, and weighed down until cured. The foam was sanded to fit the exact contour of the ribs on either side. The plywood skins will be installed over the whole wing to make a very sturdy structure.
