Brief Description: Modified Exhaust system bracket
I was concerned that the bracket that comes with the Vetterman exhaust, which is secured by two Adel clamps, could come loose and slide into the oil cooler. Obviously, not a good thing. I spoke with Vetterman in regards to this, and in spite of the fact that several hundred are flying, his words, this is a poor design in terms of the failure mode. We decided to lower the attachment of the bracket so that a failure of such would slide under the oil cooler. We then created a third safety arm and attached it to a vertical member of the engine mount using an Adel clamp. Now I am convinced that adequate clearance exists with the oil cooler.
