Brief Description:  Reinstalled Upper Fuse Comm Antenna

The doubler plate we were intending to use for the upper fuse comm antenna did not stiffen the fuse skin sufficiently. We were concerning about vibration and wind causing issues with the skin cracking from fatigue. A new bracket was fabricated which spans the upper J channels and captures the antenna doubler plate. It is attached using the existing rivets for the F-1074 forward skin to the J channels, so no new holes were necessary. except for the antenna holes in the F-1074 fuse skin. Spacers were fabricated to contour the support to the profile of the F-1074 skin. This arrangement has transferred both the side to side and fore and aft load to the J channels and has resulted in a very secure and stiff antenna mounting plate, without distorting the skin.
