This entry convers the 10th though the 15th. We spent the last several days working on preparing the cowl for installation on the fuselage. We completed section 47-4 which involves mathing the top ond bottom cowl front openings. We also decided to complete the oil door, which required extensive fiberglass work around the opening. The Van's provided fiberglass, as usual, was of inferior quality and the door joggle and opening had to be redone. We also cut the opening in the lower cowl to accept the front gear leg IAW Section 47-5, step 7 , and we also installed the air inlet ramps IAW section 47-5, steps 8-10. We decided to remover the fuselage frame and to get the aircraft up on it's own gear legs in preparation for the engine installation.
