This entry represents the last 7 days worth of work. Not a lot of time has been spent this week due to other commitments. We installed return springs on the left and right rudder pedals. The purpose is to maintian tension on the rudder cables. The springs are not strong enought to protect the rudder from wind damage, but does a sufficient job of returning the pedals to neutral. In addition, we completed the fireproof and insulation of the firewall, replaced the Van's provided plastic brake hose with a certified version, pressure tested the complete brake system, installed all control cables to determine routing a fit and then removed them. The fuselage is now ready to have the instrument panel installed. This should happen over the next week. This will allow the completion of the wiring within the fuselage, and will be followed by and end to end test of all systems.
